The Pokemon GO Ultra Unlock: Better Together event is set to introduce two new Paldea region Pokemon to the game - Tandemaus and its evolved form, Maushold. Tandemaus is a unique Pokemon that consists of two separate creatures acting as a single unit, and when it evolves into Maushold, it can take the form of either four or three individual creatures, with the three-creature variant being much rarer.
From July 17 to July 22, 2024, Pokemon GO players will have the opportunity to add Tandemaus and Maushold to their collections. Tandemaus will be available through Party Play encounters, and players will need to collect 50 Tandemaus Candy to evolve it into Maushold. Additionally, Tandemaus will be featured in field research tasks and a free timed research event. To complement the new Pokemon, the game has also introduced a Tandemaus-themed hoodie and slippers that will remain available for purchase in the in-game shop after the event has concluded.
Beyond the new Pokemon additions, the Ultra Unlock: Better Together event will also offer increased spawn rates, enhanced shiny chances, and more raid opportunities, providing players with ample opportunities to expand their Paldea-themed collections and experience the latest content from the Pokemon GO universe.

The Pokemon GO team has been carefully integrating new Pokemon from the Paldea region introduced in Scarlet and Violet, mindful of not overwhelming players with too many additions before the next mainline game release. While the pace of new wild spawns has been gradual, the Ultra Unlock: Better Together event provides a welcome opportunity for players to expand their Pokedex with the debut of Tandemaus and Maushold, two unique Paldea region Pokemon. This balanced approach to new content aligns with the developer's strategy to sustain player engagement until the next major Pokemon release.
