Edgar, a popular streamer known for playing titles before their official release dates, received a direct message from Bandai Namco during his livestream of Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero. The excitement in the Dragon Ball community is palpable, as this game marks the long-awaited fourth installment in the beloved Budokai Tenkaichi series.

Set to launch worldwide on October 11, Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero offers early access to players who purchase the Deluxe and Ultimate Editions, allowing them to play three days ahead of the official release. However, some gamers have managed to get their copies even earlier.
Numerous players have shared on social media that they received their orders for Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero ahead of schedule, with images showcasing the Collector's Edition of the game. Among them, one streamer gained significant attention not only for accessing the game early but also for streaming it live, which prompted a response from Bandai Namco.
This leaker, known as Edgar, has since had his account terminated. Fans first learned about his stream from a warning issued by the Twitter account SLOplays, alerting the community to potential spoilers for Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero.

In response to the tweet, the official Bandai Namco Twitter account posted a knowing eyes emoji, signaling their awareness of the situation. Shortly thereafter, various streamers broadcasting the game received messages in their chat from Bandai Namco's official YouTube and Twitch accounts, instructing them to cease streaming. One message directly addressed Edgar, stating, “Edgar my guy, stop doing this.”
Videos of Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero were briefly available on Edgar's Twitch account but have since been removed. However, the "recent games" section still indicates that Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero was the only title played recently. For fans skeptical about Bandai Namco’s efforts to remove these early streams, others have shared alternate perspectives of the gameplay before the videos were taken down. Bandai Namco's US brand manager, Ryan Wagner, also joined in the conversation, tweeting, “Hello 'NotEdgar123_,'” alongside a clip of Dragon Ball Z’s Cooler defeating Goku from the villain's movie.

Reports suggest that the streams did not reveal much before they were taken down. While the single-player campaign features many familiar characters and retells a story fans have encountered numerous times, the main attraction for players lies in Sparking Zero’s expansive “What If” scenarios, which promise to surprise and engage the audience.
Despite the removal of the streams, it seems Edgar may be attempting to stream under alternate accounts, and other leaked videos have emerged as well. Fans looking to experience Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero without any spoilers may want to tread carefully.
