As Halloween approaches, Paleo Pines has shared thrilling news about its upcoming spooky content. Developer Italic Pig is embracing the festive spirit by launching downloadable content (DLC) themed around the Halloween season, now available on PC, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, and Switch.

Launched in September 2023, Paleo Pines is a farming simulation game that adds a prehistoric twist to the cozy gaming genre. As the name suggests, players can befriend dinosaurs and cultivate a beautiful sanctuary on an island. By taming their dino companions, players can utilize their unique abilities to enhance farming efficiency and productivity.

In addition to raising dinosaurs, players will encounter various characters and explore diverse areas of the game world. Since its release, Paleo Pines has undergone multiple updates, and the developer is now introducing new Halloween-themed content to celebrate the season.

With Halloween less than a month away, Paleo Pines has announced two distinct DLC packs: Trick or Treat and Spooktacular. Priced at $3.99 each, these packs offer a range of Halloween-themed experiences. The Trick or Treat DLC features a new nighttime adventure, allowing players to "explore Paleo Pines after dark" and engage in trick-or-treating activities. This pack includes a mini-game, rewards, and some delightfully “spooky-colored dinos.” Conversely, the Spooktacular DLC focuses on new Halloween decorations and outfits.

In addition to the DLC packs, Italic Pig has released a free update called The Pumpkin Patch. This update not only fixes a variety of bugs but also introduces a jack-o’-lantern decoration. Furthermore, it boosts the spawn rates for the rare Albino and Melanistic variants and adds a new “strength” feature, enabling players to dig up and replant fully grown trees. The update also notes that additional Halloween content will be activated during the holiday week.

Beyond in-game updates, Italic Pig has partnered with Makeship to produce a real-life plushie based on one of the game’s dinosaurs. Pre-orders for a plushie of Boo, the Albino Styracosaurus, will open on October 1. This plushie is part of a series from Makeship, which has previously released several other dino-themed plushies.

As the weeks unfold, it will be exciting to see what new content Italic Pig will introduce to Paleo Pines, especially for fans of its unique dinosaur farming gameplay.
